few challenges continue to affect the overall experience:

1.Frequent need for customized project creation — especially when uploading bulk data via files — becomes tedious.

2.Rules and filters often fall short in managing complex workflows and team-specific requirements.

3.Bulk data handling isn’t as smooth, and lacks the flexibility needed for enterprise-level operations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Asana?

The ease of use is excellent from the multiple ways to add tasks and projects to how to organize them in Teams and Portfolios. The Workflow automations cut down on a lot of steps which is great, and the aesthetics of the whole platform is very pleasing. We use this every day and as Project Manager I have multiple tabs with projects open at all times. It's been the easiest CRM to implement across the company - it's simple to onboard both new client projects as well as new team members. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Asana?

Each task can only be assign to one person at a time so if it gets stuck on someone's list, others may not be aware in order to move things along and pick up the slack.

Subtasks feel hidden unless you intentionally go into a parent task so my team doesn't find them helpful to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?

Asana helps us have all of our projects and tasks in one place. It's especially helpful for setting up recurring tasks so they auto-generate every week/month so we stay on track. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Asana?

At Zak Human Solutions, we support companies through every phase of growth with strategic HR and operational services. As our internal initiatives expanded, we needed a project management system that could keep pace. After evaluating several platforms, we selected Asana—and it’s exceeded our expectations.

Asana has helped us centralize project tracking, improve accountability, and stay ahead of deadlines without overwhelming our team. Whether we’re running a multi-phase HR infrastructure audit or coordinating content across departments, the clarity Asana brings has been invaluable.

The ability to break down large projects into manageable tasks, assign ownership, and track progress visually (via boards and timelines) has made our internal processes more transparent and collaborative. The Asana-Google Workspace integration has also been seamless, which is critical for our remote-friendly operations.

What stands out most is how Asana supports scalability without sacrificing usability. It works just as well for daily task management as it does for high-level strategic planning.

As a growing HR firm, we believe in efficiency through clarity—and Asana has become a core pillar of how we operate smarter every day. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Asana?

Driving adoption internally... but that is not Asana's problem. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?

Asana has helped Zak Human Solutions solve key operational challenges by giving us a centralized system to manage projects, assign clear ownership, and track progress in real time. Before Asana, tasks were scattered across emails, chats, and spreadsheets—leading to missed follow-ups, confusion, and delays. Now, everything from internal initiatives to client deliverables is organized in one place, making our workflow more transparent, accountable, and scalable. It’s become the backbone of how we plan, execute, and deliver with consistency. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Asana?

Asana is one of the most powerful and intuitive project management platforms I’ve used—and it truly lives up to the hype. Whether you’re a solo entrepreneur, a small team, or part of a growing business, Asana provides the structure and flexibility needed to manage tasks, track progress, and collaborate seamlessly.

What I love most about Asana is how visually clear and customizable it is. You can switch between List View, Board View (Kanban-style), Calendar, and Timeline with ease, making it ideal for different working styles. The interface is clean and user-friendly, and it’s easy to onboard new team members quickly without overwhelm.

Key features like task dependencies, recurring tasks, custom fields, project templates, and real-time notifications ensure nothing slips through the cracks. The ability to assign tasks, set priorities, and monitor progress at a glance has made staying on top of deadlines so much easier.

Another major bonus is Asana’s integration capability—it works effortlessly with Slack, Google Workspace, Zoom, and dozens of other tools, creating a centralized hub for productivity.

What do you like best about Asana?

It's so easy to use and has lots of features that are really helpful to make work processes more efficient. There are lots of app integrations available too. I use this every day to coordinate projects with external clients, but have also used it for internal processes. The support team is also very personable and tend to respond to questions and issues pretty promptly. It's easy and flexible to implement whatever we need to for use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Asana?

I wish the free plan had more capabilities particularly around privacy of projects and teams so you're not essentially forced into using a paid version. Some features and functionalities also aren't available when it comes to rules and automation and reporting / data visualisation capabilities for projects and portfolios. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?

Asana makes task tracking super easy and ensures that things don't slip through the cracks. Rules and automations also help to cut out certain steps of the project management process and remove some manual handling Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Asana?

We love how organized Asana keeps us. We are able to create our own tasks and assign tasks to each other. We also track shared customers on Asana boards, which allows us to assign tasks to each party in a template. When we have a customer, we can see which person is responsible for which part of the customer service experience. It also allows is to communicate what needs to be done at a time that works for us and the recipient of the information can read it when the time works for them. It is excellent for communication. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Asana?

It is hard to say. It took a while to set up and get to know how it can work best for each of us. Each team member can use Asana in a way that works best for them, with is great, but it took an admin to learn it and train us how to use it and then customize it for us. This is a minor complaint because it was well worth it! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?

We are more organized and clear on who is responsible for each task. We used to drop the ball on some things, and have 2 people working on other things that only needed one person. It has saved us time and enhanced our customer's experience with us. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

One thing to be aware of: There is a bit of a learning curve when getting started with Asana, especially for teams that are new to this type of tool. I highly recommend onboarding all staff at the same time and establishing clear guidelines on how to use the platform. This helps ensure everyone is using it consistently, which cuts down on confusion and keeps projects running smoothly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Asana?

clearly I missed out on using something like Asana being super helpful and wished I used asana during my earlier years of post secondary education. Some of my favorite features about Asana is that they created an ease with their workflow and timeline sections when creating a new project. Everything on your screen neatly laid out in terms of discussion tasks, project ideas, and setting your status to when a project starts and ends. Everything is straightforward for the most part and super collaborative. As for frequency of use here, using it a few times have made projects or solid tasks more memorable with people. To-do boards and lists are one of my favorite features in order to ease the implementation of organizing complex or multi-step tasks. Customer support is super easy to access and the integration of working with people and the tools required for success is clearly shown in your performance on the web interface application. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Asana?

The advanced 14 day free trial is offered but really unnecessary, and overall this website would benefit a lot from people using it more than having to pay for it just to use those same amazing features. Otherwise it should be free for students working on big upcoming projects and tasks for the week(s) or semester. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?

Explicitly organizing big work projects by color, time, date, name, and marked progressing tasks seamlessly and very conveniently. Solves the problem of task delegation made easier for everyone, give a motivational format for groups working together. Each team member gets to set their own deadlines and track their progress along the time, it can be a lot of work in the beginning but it prevents you from forgetting the each delegated task of each member of a final project. if there is a lot to keep on top of you stay accountable to the team and monitor yourself accordingly by avoiding being late due dates for any project deadlines Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Asana?

What I really like about using Asana is how much it's streamlined the way our team works. Once I spent some time going through their tutorials and help articles, getting everything set up was pretty straightforward.

It's been a game-changer for keeping everyone aligned—deadlines are clear, tasks don’t fall through the cracks, and it's easy to see who’s responsible for what. The approval workflows and task dependencies are especially helpful for keeping projects on track without constant check-ins.

We’ve been able to move most of our internal communication along with project tracking into Asana, which has made a huge difference. No more digging through endless message threads trying to find who said what—everything’s organized and easy to follow.

I also really appreciate how simple it is to structure and manage different teams. Whether we’re planning a marketing campaign or coordinating logistics across offices, everything lives in one place and everyone’s on the same page. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Asana?

I honestly don't have anything negative to say about Asana. Looking forward to building my company up with the ease of the platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?

One of the things I really value is how Asana helps us stay ahead of deadlines instead of just racing to meet them. Having clear timelines and task visibility means we can actually plan properly—especially when it comes to equipment purchases or workshop upgrades.

The approval feature has been a huge win in that area. Instead of going back and forth over messages or email, we can track requests for new gear, get the green light from the right person, and move forward without delays. It keeps everything moving efficiently, which is crucial when time-sensitive decisions come up. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Asana?

Asana keeps me on track and organizes my tasks wonderfully. I use it daily and it is vital to my work flow. It's super customizable and can be catered to you and your company's needs. I've really enjoyed diving into the rules and workflows and created streamlined processes for myself and the team. I love the little images that pop up when you complete a task. I think it's very user-friendly, and great to work on either on the desktop or mobile app. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Asana?

It can feel overwhelming at first. I've spent a lot of time training the team, and I've found the simpler the better. Our organization uses the very basic features. I've really struggled to implement more complex timelines, goals, and rules, without getting negative feedback from the team. I know there is a lot of features that may be helpful, that we are not utilizing due to the struggle with training. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Asana solving and how is that benefiting you?

It's connecting all departments to one singular task. This taskc can then travel between different boards and projects. It keeps the entire team focused on the 1 order and 1 task at hand, with 1 place for information as needed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
