What do you like best about Zip?

I love having a single platform for the entire Procure-to-Pay process; it has simplified our workflow significantly. The continuous release of new features also helps us improve further.

I particularly appreciate the ease of making payments. Before using ZIP, the Accounts Payable team would spend over half a working day preparing the payment run. Now, it only takes 45 minutes.

From a procurement perspective, the flexibility of workflows and the template library allowed us to create a custom workflow that simplifies and shortens the approval cycle time. I also appreciate the dynamic approval logic. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Zip?

The main drawback of the ZIP system is its vendor master data management, which is integrated into the purchase request workflow. This system does not permit us to lock certain critical data—such as payment terms and currency—during the vendor onboarding process. This information should be entered when a vendor is first onboarded and subsequently locked, so it is not requested with every new purchase request. In other words, similar to all other ERPs and P2P platforms, certain data should be set up at the vendor level and should not be triggered with each new purchase request. What do you like best about Zip?

I like the instant improvement we experienced with Zip. Day 1 with Zip was a change we dearly needed. Our improved spend visibility and auditable process that can be tailored on the fly by the Zip admin with out any vendor involvement is great Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Zip?

I think the spend data could be a little better. Right now all spend from an agreement is captured as spend in the year that the agreement was completed, even if it is a multi year agreement. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Zip solving and how is that benefiting you?

We are in the midst of implementing P2P but already have had Intake to Procure for 24 months. I2P helped us adopt a repeatable process for everyone that was easy to use and because of the nature of the product, forced 100% adoption with no complaints. Our AP process isa little dated becasue we use another application for invoicing and is very limited in its functionality. After analyzing Zip's P2P features, we will be able to automate our entire invoicing process. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Zip?

Zip offers an intuitive and user friendly interface making it easy to navigate. The platform helps in consolidating systems to a single solution. The capabilities of building out simple to complex workflows is a huge advantage. I’ve utilized this platform at multiple companies now and would definitely recommend as a solution for P2P. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Zip?

Paying invoices direct from Zip vs an ERP system. I’ve had a short term experience with this part of the platform that was not ideal. That being said Zip is very open to feedback and improving features. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Zip solving and how is that benefiting you?

Intake of vendors, contracts, and sourcing currently. I’ve seen and used it also for full P2P.

Helping in automating processes for intake of vendors and bringing in appropriate stakeholders based on conditions/triggers that align with our policies and processes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Zip?

The simplicity of the UI and our ability to make configuration changes on the fly without engaging Zip and in many cases without needing to contact our technical teams. The tool was also one of the easiest to implement and did not require deep technical knowledge on our side to support implementation. No dedicated IT staff was required to be hired unlike some of the other tools in the market. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Zip?

Zip does not have all the functionality of some of the more established tools. In most cases this is fine as those additional features are not needed.

Zip solves for some of the issues around new vendor setup and PO creation by tying those things together on one request. This does make it more challenging for PO only changes without a contract. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Zip solving and how is that benefiting you?

Overall it is increasing the visibility of our spending across the organization and improving how we prioritize our reviews and requests. The most important feature is that it allows us to more closely align the time and scrutiny we place against each request with the risk associated with the purchase. This helps with the overall feedback on the process because it eliminates the perception of significant wasted time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Zip?

As the AP of the company, I use Zip every day. It's easy to use, with a well-built intake PO module that offers extensive admin customization, and great customer support with prompt responses. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Zip?

I’m not a fan of their Inbox & Bill module. The loading time is slow, the AP inbox only reads PDFs, and emails without PDFs will disappear entirely. There's no option to replace bill attachments or add additional supporting documents in the invoice tab, even though we can add it in the comments section, but most approvers don’t look at that. Competitors offer better functionality by allowing multiple supporting documents to be attached and viewed directly in the invoice tab. Additionally, the system flags duplicate bills based on file names, which isn’t effective, vendors often use the same file names, and Zip should instead check invoice numbers and amounts for duplicate. Overall, Zip still has plenty of room for improvement in the inbox and bill modules. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Zip solving and how is that benefiting you?

Zip streamlines procurement and AP workflows, making PO management more efficient and structured approvals. This saves time, improves transparency, and reduces manual work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Zip?

We chose ZIP a year ago and the integration & implementation process was smooth. Zip is a much better way to manage approvals of requests/POs as well as invoices. What we like a lot is how receptive Zip is to make changes to the overall program to better accommodate our needs. We have multiple users in it every day and it is very easy to use. Customer support has been very responsive to our requests & helping us solve problems. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Zip?

I would like more reporting features, but Zip has been receptive to the requests made & may have added a few to their 'to-do' list. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Zip solving and how is that benefiting you?

Approvals - our old system didn't have approvals, so we had to rely on emails and manual tracking. Zip has made it so much easier to keep track of approvals, add & change approvers - it has really been a game changer. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Zip?

Provides central view of open requests with various reporting options available. The support team for this tool is superb. They may not always have the answers wanted - but they are great about responding in a timely manner and helping guide both the admin and users when needed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Zip?

This is a newer tool so many features do not exist yet. Feature releases happen regularly so we need to rework processes frequently to best utilize the system. The workflows and queues are currently a very manual process and there are limited connects between production and sandbox environments. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Zip solving and how is that benefiting you?

Zip has created a central location for procurement. It creates a clear approval flow to our internal stakeholders so they know when to help with what. This has reduced overall turn time in requests and created a central tool for all the stakeholders to have visibility to. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Zip?

The tool is easy to use for both the admin side as well as the users. One of my favorite features is the ease of use in making changes to the workflows and questions. Also the product team is keen listen to customer feedback for changes and improvements to the tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Zip?

Occasionally there are bugs in the programming due to the constant improvement of the tool. However, the help chat is really helpful, and the admins are quick to respond to inquiries (usually <30 minutes). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Zip solving and how is that benefiting you?

We needed one place to capture vendor purchase intakes and approvals. Also, the requestors are able to keep track of the progress and ask questions in the tool, which helps with redundant questions. Additionally we rolled out the full P2P platform which enabled us to have the full cycle in one tool which helped with speed and tranparency. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Budgeting and Reporting. The reporting features could use some work, I would like to see budgeting down to the vendor level and the ability to create reports that mirror some of the insights. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Zip solving and how is that benefiting you?

As a smaller company, we were manually handling all contracts with legal and accounts payable. Zip has provided the ability to funnel all contract or spend requests through one process. The ability to create purchase orders that will sync contract to invoices as well as the integration with our accounts payable solution for billing. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
