I use Atera for both work in healthcare environment and personal (separate accounts) it's incredibly easy to setup automation policies and create scripts/installation packages for rolling out software and keeping devices updated. If you're savvy enough creating encapsulated self extracting 7z setup file using 7zsd.sfx, even local GPO policies (lgpo or registry modifications).
You can also install software remotely thru the built-in chocolatey repository .
Customer support is live chat and when they cannot resolve it immediately, they escalate it further up the chain.
Reporting makes it easy to get an overall report summary for all endpoint devices for critical/security related patches, and our average security % for critical/security patches is 93% or higher (that value rises even higher once we exclude devices not checked in over 90days)
The new device filtering/reporting system is easy to create special device and report "profiles". You can even add additional fields for devices and add "tags" so you can create device group views that youcan keep private or share with your teams (i.e. conference room PCs/dental PCs/Imprivata Enabled PCs/Devices offline over 90 days/etc)
We also have a dedicated Atera rep who check in with us every several months to see if a our needs are met, and discuss new features rolled out and in the pipeline.
Like all RMM systems it takes getting to know the system and the way they have it laid out, but Atera is one of the easier systems to use.
To get the most out of Atera, you should have the "growth" plan or higher, which allows up to 1GB of setup installation file/total script size to be uploaded.
Also get to know 7zsd.sfx which helps you create self-extracting setup.exe files that unzip when run on an endpoint and run a .cmd batch file to run your custom script/s. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Not really so much a downside, but I would love an option where I can pay a lock-in price paying monthly the same pro-rated price as the yearly price. and maybe pay a "disconnection fee" if I have to discontinue service.
Even paying slightly more month to month (in my side hustle) vs yearly, Atera is still a good value for me. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

That it doesnt require an application to use Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The patching is horrible, you can't exclude patch classifications from showing up as pending for a device (e.g say you dont want it to touch drivers, sure you can tell it to not install it but you need to manually go and exclude each and every single driver if you dont want it to show up as a missing update...
The UI is missing something as Simple as Select all on exclusions
Reboot notifications are awful
The constant drive to shove their Ai down your throat at every single opportunity.. I pay for your product, why am I getting ads in it to buy addons?
Speaking of upgrades, they nickel and dime you over everything
Need better reporting? That's an upgrade
Need more asset types? Thats an upgrade!
There's no way to associate multiple devices to a user if they are via Agent, speaking of which the agent doesn't auto-associate a agent scanned device to a user if you sync with Entra
Need support? Good luck.. Like most enterprises if your using servers you want to minimize port exposure for outbound and inbound connections... Need to know the IP's to safelist for Splashtop? good luck no one knows Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I found Atera very easy to get started with. In just two weeks, I already had a clear view of my IT infrastructure. The support is responsive, which is a real plus. I particularly like the monitoring/reporting section, which provides a detailed and well-organized view. The overview with all the information on the infrastructure is also very practical.
Another positive point: the remote access is well designed and can be customized according to needs. The management of workstation updates works well overall. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There is a lack of communication about future features (the AI is paid, for example).
The tool is good for starting with a new park, but I find the ticketing part a bit limited. The management of ticket forms lacks flexibility, and there is no option for machine lending, which could be useful.
Also, the management of updates is sometimes unpredictable: some updates download well, but then you have to go to the workstation to install them manually. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The AI Assistant is constantly improving, and has offered several helpful scripts. They constantly develop on the entire platform, with new features coming out frequently. It is very easy to add machines, and to organize even a large national department's operations. The KB is first-rate, and its integration into the help portal has been very useful. The reports provide me with a good top-down view into things, and I can drill down easily. My team uses it daily, as do I. Their community is excellent, with lots of engagement by both other users and the support team (who have been very responsive). Overall implementaiton was really easy, with their implementation team offering excellent training. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The chat feature was pulled before it had a chance to really reach maturity - I think it would have been an excellent. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I love that they have made me need less third party tools, by bundling all of our management into one pane Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
My only want is for them to make the dashboard visible to a non licensed user, so we can keep it up on a screen in the call center without having to have a licensed user logged in Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Atera is great for what I need it for be it generating a formal or casual reply to the issue or rephrasing my response to a ticket is always helpful. The ai functions of it are one of the upsides to using it along with how there’s certain templates for the tickets that come in. It’s well organized for our day to day use. That when I hover over a ticket to look at the initial comment it won’t show me that but instead it will show me the ai assistant last comment. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
At first I had my doubts that the platform was going to be a good optione, but I was impressed by how easy the automation was. Now I manage to shedule tasks like updates, reboots or even disk cleanup without having to do it manually, it saves me work time. This has allowed me to focus on more important things, such as offering a better to my users. The interface is easy to use and understand and the technical support is friendly and professional. In our company It's a breeze to have Atera for IT support everyday
I use the ticketing , remote control via splashtop, patchmanagement, scripts, monitoring, reports, ...
Also installation was quick and easy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
sometimes there is a small bug.
Like the Helpdesk tray icon that does not appear.
But it's like 2% it occurs and the help support is top notch ! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Atera is very intuitive, so you can start without studying a big manual and you have a very good chat support who reacts after a few minutes.
Moreover I like the fair pricing, you pay for a technican but not for machines, so I can manage our company with a single licence.
I use it daily and I think about replacing teamviewer with the integrated splashtop remote management (but you can also use teamviewer with atera).
Installing Atera is very easy, you just need to install the agent on the target machine and you can start working.
You also get a big collection of powershell scripts which you can use very easy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sometimes you have to search a little bit to find some functions, but after just a few days that no problem anymore Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Since we started using Atera in our company, the experience has been really positive. I like it because it's not just a technical platform, it's a solution designed to make our day-to-day life easier. Its intuitive interface, its automated functions and the ability to monitor everything in real time allows us to work efficiently, without wasting time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There's nothing I don't like about Atera, it's efficient and easy to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
