Obviously the best part of social media scheduling is efficiency. I can put my images and text in once, and then publish everywhere, on multiple social networks. It's designed with compatibility in mind, it's easy to schedule all types of media across a variety of social media networks, and it saves so much time. I love that I have the ability to schedule content in advance, days, weeks, and even months at a time. The built-in calendar with holidays is super helpful.
The platform is very reliable, and they are great at communication whenever there's new features, maintenance, or downtime (which is rare! ) They also offer educational resources and industry insight. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Occasionally on an intermittent basis, my session expires when I'm in the middle of working. When this happens, I have to log in again, and sometimes I lose unscheduled posts. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Hootsuite is, without a doubt, the best social media scheduling tool I've used, and I've tried a lot. I love the ease of use with scheduling, and that it's simple to see updated stats on how my content is performing. I post across several channels multiple times a day, and it keeps my content organized and on-trend with AI-generated captions and hashtags when I'm out of words. 10 stars! All the stars! I would love to be able to visually see my posts when in calendar view. An option that allowed me to rearrange posts visually (or even just see what's scheduled for which day without clicking) would be super helpful, but it's not a dealbreaker. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I love that we are able to manage 14+ social media accounts with ease. We post something essentially daily and with their scheduling calendar, we can ensure that there is no overlap in what the team is putting out. I really like that there is an option to schedule the same post across multiple accounts and that you can change the graphics/caption for each social engine. This comes in very handy as Facebook uses a link in the caption, whereas for Instagram, you have to direct them elsewhere. In addition to this, the different tools that Hootsuite provides are important for marketers to be able to look at the performance of posts, pages and more. The social listening aspect is also super nice. Unrelated to the Hootsuite subscription, there are SOO many great articles that the Hootsuite team puts out, along with training videos & courses, so that marketers can be as relevant as possible. I don't like that there is no option to batch schedule. This would be great, specifically with the Instagram Stories and many times we are putting the same story out a few times during the promotion. We are currently duplicating and rescheduling but it would be nice to just pick all the dates/times you want the posts to go out at once. Another thing that I would like to see is scheduling an Instagram story with interactive elements, like the ones that you would find within that app. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Hootsuite offers so many features in one place. I use Hootsuite literally every day, and it is a huge time saver. I don't know what it was like to plan content for businesses before Hootsuite, but I love not having to worry about manually posting to each account.
The built- in analytics component is amazing and comprehensive. I especially love the new social score. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
My least favorite part of Hootsuite is the inability to edit story form content on the interface. It requires using a separate software and can be frustrating.
I also become frustrated when I am typing in the 'your post' section when drafting copy, and it doesn't change it across the platforms. Sometimes it does, other times it doesn't. Other than that, I find it to be incredibly useful, easy to learn, and simple to implement. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The things I like best about Hootsuite are the analytics, in particular the weekly summary with recommendations. My supervisor takes the recommendations much more seriously than she would if I suggested doing the same thing. I can also use the more detailed reports to compare year-over-year results, although I'd prefer to be able to access comparison stats for the whole time we've had the account rather than only the past year.
Day-to-day, Hootsuite is intuitive to use for scheduling, although we don't use its draft creation process. I avoid OwlyGPT over concerns about water use and labour rights (I would like to continue having a job) so I can't comment on it. The hashtag suggestions are a nice addition.
When I've had issues that required it, tech support has been prompt and reasonable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It's a fairly small thing, but because my organization has high standards for accessibility, I dislike that alt text doesn't carry through to images posted to Instagram. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I love the calendar scheduling feature. It allows me to quickly and efficiently build and schedule posts as far out as I need. I can easily duplicate a post for a different social channel. I can even drag and drop content into Hootsuite, reducing the amount of clicks to get content uploaded. It's also been easy to implement amongst our team members, using the drafts to share ideas and then save for managers to approve.
I also like the analytics page, I like building out custom reports. There are so many different options to build and add depending on the data needed. It's simple to use and easy to understand. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sometimes, Hootsuite registers my vertical 9:16 video as "incompatible" aspect ratio for Facebook, saying it's .1 off.
In the "editor" feature where I build social posts, I can trim and crop videos or photos; but there isn't a crop by aspect ration option. I wish it would have crop ratios instead of only custom/manual crop.
I also dislike that you can't specify a Facebook video post as a Reel versus a video post; and there is nowhere to add a title or a collaborator. That would be a great feature in the future to add. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The user interface is simple. It' is easy to learn initially and use daily. I like the calendar view. I don't use the social listening much, but could. I like that you can preview content while creating it and also edit posts taht are already scheduled very easily. I do also love the new hashtag generator- fast and easy and always accurate! The analytics have been spotty and could definitely use some love from the dev team. There are always exclamations or asterisks to the reporting that I must explain to clients and sometimes it just looks down-right inaccurate-scary! I know the AI is new, but very basic and not really helpful. My biggest complaint is the drastic price increases in the last 2--3 years. My plan more than doubled. I get inflation, but no features added. Now, while I am paying ALOT in my opinion for the middle plan at $99/month which includes up to 10 social accounts, I need to upgrade to the next and only available plan to add one other social plan (no other users) and it will then cost me $250/month MORE THAN DOUBLE what I am paying now as a small agency/freelancer! Hoot really needs to diversify it's packages past the basic three-prong approach! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like that I can see everything that's going on from a birds-eye view. I have many clients and it would be impossible to keep track of it all without Hootsuite. I also LOVE that I can schedule posts. I also love the live chat feature. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sometimes when I am scheduling to many platforms at once it's not obvious that the photos didn't attach to every platform when I hit publish or schedule so there are times that photos aren't posted. Also sometimes when I use emojis it comes out as a diamond with a ? in the middle of it on the platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I enjoy the ease with which I can schedule content across multiple accounts. The drag and drop media facility is very practical and useful, with the owly url shortcakes being a great way to shorten long web links in your messages, thereby making them more practical for your intended recipients. The OwlyGPT facility is fantastic with inspiration and detail regarding industry trends, and being able to bulk upload messages with timings etc is a real plus. The training that Hootsuite provides is very practical, making it really easy to integrate in my own workflows, as well as get to grips with partner platforms like LinkedIn and their ads facility. It's something I'm using all the time with my business, and the native phone app makes a great difference when I need to post something out on the road somewhere. Some of the processes within Hootsuite can be a little unintuitive - sometimes I wish it would appear simpler to achieve something that I envision (for example, rescheduling previously posted content doesn't seem to be straightforward from the dashboard), but I'm aware that's probably just user error. I like how I can send out multiple posts at once. However, as of late I've been making more of an independent route for research for each post.
Another awesome thing is if you're invited by an organization you see all the posts you can select and share and add even more value to the existing posts. It's a great way to keep marketers, the organization, and people who follow the organization up to date on everything. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Better Visual Features for Videos:
I believe a better video editor aspect of existing organizations posts may be beneficial. I know not every marketer is a video editor. However, I come across portions of posts where I want to add a video to the existing information. When you do upload video it just shows the image of the first frame of what ever video you uploaded.
