What do you like best about Salary.com?

What I love the most about using CompAnalyst (Salary.com) is the availability of market data for various market prevalent jobs across different industries and revenue sizes. With the availability to create composites, one could add other survey data subscriptions to the tool to get an overall market prospective. The market data in CompAnalyst is refreshed on a monthly basis and it lists out hot jobs too. The reports you could export are an additional bonus too. The Customer Support team is very responsive as well and is well equipped to address any questions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Salary.com?

While data for US is quite extensive in CompAnalyst in terms of industry and revenue cuts, but when looking at benchmark data for other countries outside the US, the data is often limited to All Industries / All Revenue data cuts. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Alexander Bishop of Salary.com

What do you like best about Salary.com?

The platform is incredibly user-friendly. Within a few clicks, you can easily access detailed salary reports, including median salary ranges, bonuses, benefits, and compensation trends for any job in any geographic area. The salary data is broken down not only by job title but also by location, industry, experience level, and company size. This makes the platform especially useful if you're considering a move to a different city or comparing salaries across various sectors. The level of customization available in the reports means that users can narrow down their search to get exactly the information they need.

Customer service is beyond accommodating!

Overall, I highly recommend Salary.com for anyone looking to get reliable salary information. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Salary.com?

I have used other platforms with all the bells and whistles at a much hirer price and it was a waste of money as I could never really figure out how to download all my own information (job descriptions, details,) Salary.com is already set up and ready to go so you can filter as needed. Win-Win! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Alexander Bishop of Salary.com

Thank you for the five-star review, Rene! We’re happy that you are enjoying CompAnalyst to easily access relevant salary ranges, bonuses, benefits, and compensation trends. Many of our customers would agree that a major benefit to the tool is just how easy it is to use. What do you like best about Salary.com?

Sometimes I am unable to find the exact same title in Salary.Com which is understandable since companies can make up titles as they see fit for their situations. However, Salary.Com is easy to search to find just the right fit. I love that I can customize with experience levels, education levels and other criteria. I also love how, after I customize that criteria, Salary.com will suggest other roles that may be a better fit for the selected criteria. I also like that I can request them to do a custom rate for me if I can't find just the right one. I have 5 geographic cities where we have employees and it is super easy to get a quick comp analysis on one or all areas at the same time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Salary.com?

I haven't been able to add my own users. That would be convenient. Maybe I am missing something though and that functionality is there. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Alexander Bishop of Salary.com

Thank you for the five-star review, Jeannie! We are glad that you’re using CompAnalyst to remain in line with today’s market across a variety of job positions. Regarding adding more users, there are two main user types, “Company Administrators” and “HR Regulars.” “Company Administrators” can add, edit, and delete users; while “HR Regulars” are unable to. If you were set up with “HR Regular” access, then that would be the reason why you are unable to add users. If you were set up as a “Company Administrator” and are still having trouble adding new users in the “Users & Roles” section, then I would recommend reaching out to your Customer Success Specialist for assistance in this matter.

What do you like best about Salary.com?

We are currently in the process of adopting Salary.com and have moved from a direct competitor. We have experienced exceptional customer service and patience through the implementation process. We are also happy with the posting data information provided. As of now the program has been extremely easy to utilize and been a great tool for salary information. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Salary.com?

As of now things have been smooth. I would have liked to see the demo of the product to be more interactive and a "guided" use as it was a little overwhelming during the demo. Despite that I would still recommend any colleagues in need of salary information. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Alexander Bishop of Salary.com

Thank you for the five-star review, John! We are happy that you’re finding relevant market data in CompAnalyst to evaluate your internal teammates and ensure your salary offerings are competitive in today’s market. I recommend checking out our Resource Center in the Community. There you will find a whole host of short and long form demo videos, how-to guides, and other training materials!

What do you like best about Salary.com?

Customer service and professional services support has been excellent in the 10 years that I have worked with Salary.com. CompAnalyst is a cloud-based industry leading compensation management tool suite that has all of the functionality that a compensation professional would be looking for, from basic market pricing to regression calculations for executive jobs. Salary.com continues to add functionality to the tool suite including a recent AI-powered intelligent job posting scraping tool, compensation planning tool, as well as enhancements to their signature market pricing and compensation management core product. The CA tool suite is highly configurable and very easy to understand, and the professional services team is very responsive and quick to assist with questions or requests. The CompAnalyst Market Data has continued to expand and is a very capable rival to some of the general industry surveys produced by the big consulting firms. The process for getting third party survey data loaded into the tool is very easy, and the process for creating market pricing composites is equally straightforward. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Salary.com?

The only drawbacks that I have found to the CompAnalyst tool are that for the most part you cannot use your browser's back button, and need to click on specific links within the page to navigate. This is only a minor complaint, but new users may need to take note. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Alexander Bishop of Salary.com

Thank you for the five-star review! We are glad that you are leveraging CompAnalyst to manage job descriptions, survey data, create market pricing composites, and help pay your employees more competitively. We are also happy that you have found our customer and professional services teams excellent in the 10 years that you have worked with Salary.com! Regarding your comment on navigation, we pride ourselves on having the most secure compensation management and data solutions in the industry. This feature of not leveraging the back button in the browser was something purposely implemented to improve data security by avoiding data caching in the browser.

What do you like best about Salary.com?

Salary.com has access to a wide network of compensation statistics that come directly from payroll so they can be relied on. They have a tiered model that you can add on to the data requested based on your needs, so you have more control over what data you are paying for. Their filters allow you to select criteria like industry and region to focus your searches. The interface is easy and intuitive. Customer support has been helpful each time I inquired. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Salary.com?

Some of the lesser used job titles can be challenging to source. With that said I have been able to find a proxy that approximates the title I was looking for, closely enough to be useful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Alexander Bishop of Salary.com

Thank you for the review! We are glad that you’re using CompAnalyst to gather reliable and trusted compensation data. Many of our customers would agree that a major benefit to the tool is just how easy it is to use! I recommend looking at the job description if you have trouble finding the right role. You can look under alternative job titles which should give you more flexibility for similar jobs. Then, you can look at each job description to create a hybrid job to match to your company jobs responsibilities. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to your Customer Success Team with any questions you may have!

What do you like best about Salary.com?

The comps are pretty good, I work in a niche industry and there are some jobs we have which aren't reflected in the available catalog but I can appreciate the great value from the ones that are. The system is fairly easy to navigate and there are plenty of features to adjust in order to dial in.

I was not here for implementation so there is not much I can speak on in terms of ease of implementation.

As HR I use the service frequently to review comps. It's been simple to integrate into daily use coming from somewhere which didn't have it.

I was prompted to write this response due to the really awesome experience I had with a customer service rep- Al F. (I won't use the full name for security reasons but I'm happy to name her internally). She resolved the issues caused by the previous rep and got everything done in literally 5 minutes. She's a true professional! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Salary.com?

Their customer service needs more Al F.'s and less Carols.

Expand into moire niche job markets.

Less marketing pop ups for other services. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Alexander Bishop of Salary.com

Thank you for the review. We’re happy that you’re leveraging CompAnalyst for your company’s compensation needs. Many of our customers would agree that a major advantage to the platform is just how easy it is to use! As for the pop-ups your experiencing, we do this to let you know about new features, but we do appreciate you not wanting it come up every time you go to the site. There is a small check box in the bottom left-hand corner that says don’t show me again. This should help solve that problem!

What do you like best about Salary.com?

It is a fantastic resource for anyone seeking reliable and accurate compensation data. Its intuitive platform offers a wealth of tools that help users understand market trends, benchmark salaries, and make informed career or business decisions.

One of the standout features that I like is customizable reports, which provide detailed insights tailored to specific industries, roles, and locations. Whether you’re an HR professional conducting salary benchmarking or an individual negotiating a raise, the data is always comprehensive and easy to digest.

I also appreciate the platform’s user-friendly interface, which makes navigating the wealth of information straightforward. The salary wizard, in particular, is an excellent tool for quickly accessing job-specific pay ranges.

Additionally, Salary.com goes beyond just numbers— the cost-of-living calculator adds immense value to users.

Overall, Salary.com is a trusted resource for anyone interested in compensation trends and pay equity. And I loved the contact with Kaitlin!!

Highly recommended! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Salary.com?

I like the fact that you're able to scope the compensation and roles specific to your industry. You have access to job descriptions and competencies, which are extremely helpful, especially when thinking about new roles. You can upload all of your existing job titles and compare similar roles, industries, etc. The customer support team has been fantastic. My direct customer success specialist has been amazing!! The implementation meetings were so helpful. The system is easy to navigate. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Salary.com?

I will say there are a lot of pop ups that come up when you're moving around the system to take advantage of other resources within the platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
