I love that we are able to manage 14+ social media accounts with ease. We post something essentially daily and with their scheduling calendar, we can ensure that there is no overlap in what the team is putting out. I really like that there is an option to schedule the same post across multiple accounts and that you can change the graphics/caption for each social engine. This comes in very handy as Facebook uses a link in the caption, whereas for Instagram, you have to direct them elsewhere. In addition to this, the different tools that Hootsuite provides are important for marketers to be able to look at the performance of posts, pages and more. The social listening aspect is also super nice. Unrelated to the Hootsuite subscription, there are SOO many great articles that the Hootsuite team puts out, along with training videos & courses, so that marketers can be as relevant as possible. I don't like that there is no option to batch schedule. This would be great, specifically with the Instagram Stories and many times we are putting the same story out a few times during the promotion. We are currently duplicating and rescheduling but it would be nice to just pick all the dates/times you want the posts to go out at once. Another thing that I would like to see is scheduling an Instagram story with interactive elements, like the ones that you would find within that app. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The things I like best about Hootsuite are the analytics, in particular the weekly summary with recommendations. My supervisor takes the recommendations much more seriously than she would if I suggested doing the same thing. I can also use the more detailed reports to compare year-over-year results, although I'd prefer to be able to access comparison stats for the whole time we've had the account rather than only the past year.
Day-to-day, Hootsuite is intuitive to use for scheduling, although we don't use its draft creation process. I avoid OwlyGPT over concerns about water use and labour rights (I would like to continue having a job) so I can't comment on it. The hashtag suggestions are a nice addition.
When I've had issues that required it, tech support has been prompt and reasonable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It's a fairly small thing, but because my organization has high standards for accessibility, I dislike that alt text doesn't carry through to images posted to Instagram. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I enjoy the ease with which I can schedule content across multiple accounts. The drag and drop media facility is very practical and useful, with the owly url shortcakes being a great way to shorten long web links in your messages, thereby making them more practical for your intended recipients. The OwlyGPT facility is fantastic with inspiration and detail regarding industry trends, and being able to bulk upload messages with timings etc is a real plus. The training that Hootsuite provides is very practical, making it really easy to integrate in my own workflows, as well as get to grips with partner platforms like LinkedIn and their ads facility. It's something I'm using all the time with my business, and the native phone app makes a great difference when I need to post something out on the road somewhere. Some of the processes within Hootsuite can be a little unintuitive - sometimes I wish it would appear simpler to achieve something that I envision (for example, rescheduling previously posted content doesn't seem to be straightforward from the dashboard), but I'm aware that's probably just user error. I like how I can send out multiple posts at once. However, as of late I've been making more of an independent route for research for each post.
Another awesome thing is if you're invited by an organization you see all the posts you can select and share and add even more value to the existing posts. It's a great way to keep marketers, the organization, and people who follow the organization up to date on everything. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Better Visual Features for Videos:
I believe a better video editor aspect of existing organizations posts may be beneficial. I know not every marketer is a video editor. However, I come across portions of posts where I want to add a video to the existing information. When you do upload video it just shows the image of the first frame of what ever video you uploaded. Hootsuite is a reliable and comprehensive platform that supports our organization's multi-brand social media strategy with powerful tools for scheduling, analytics, listening, and employee advocacy that we use daily.
Key strengths include:
User-friendly scheduling tools that make it easy to plan and publish content across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and X, ensuring consistent and timely messaging across all clinic brands.
Robust analytics and reporting, which provide deep insights into post performance, audience engagement, and platform growth. These insights help guide content strategy and demonstrate ROI to stakeholders. Customizable reports and dashboards make it easy to track success at both a national and regional level.
Listening features, which allow our team to monitor conversations around key terms, brand mentions, and industry trends. This helps us stay informed about what matters to our audiences and respond to relevant conversations in real time.
Amplify, Hootsuite’s employee advocacy tool, empowers our associates to easily share approved, on-brand content to their personal LinkedIn and social platforms. This extends our reach, promotes our culture, and supports recruiting and brand awareness efforts.
We appreciate the quick response of their customer service team whenever we have any questions, their great training (both live and online Hootsuite Academy tutorials) and the feedback of our account rep on a monthly basis.
Overall, Hootsuite is a valuable tool that enhances Upstream Rehabilitation’s ability to manage, measure, and expand our social media impact efficiently and effectively. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
While its interface can occasionally feel clunky with larger content libraries or multi-brand views, Hootsuite remains a solid choice for centralized social media management in a healthcare setting l—where compliance, consistency, and scheduling efficiency are essential. Hootsuite's best feature is its ability to manage multiple social media accounts in one place. It allows you to schedule posts, track analytics, monitor conversations, and engage with your audience across various platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn—all from a single dashboard. This centralized approach helps save time and improve efficiency. Additionally, Hootsuite’s reporting tools are detailed and customizable, allowing for easy tracking of performance metrics, which makes it easier to adjust strategies as needed. One downside of Hootsuite is its pricing, especially for smaller businesses or individuals. Some of the more advanced features, like detailed analytics or access to additional team members, are only available on higher-tier plans, which can be costly. Additionally, the user interface can feel a bit overwhelming at first due to its wide array of options and features, which may take time to get used to. Lastly, while Hootsuite offers a lot of scheduling and monitoring tools, its social listening capabilities could be more advanced compared to other platforms that specialize in this area. HootSuite is incredibly user-friendly, making it easy to manage multiple social media accounts from a single dashboard. Its intuitive interface allows for quick scheduling, posting, and monitoring, making it a breeze for both beginners and experienced users alike. Setting up HootSuite is straightforward and hassle-free. The initial setup and configuration can be completed within minutes, and the platform offers plenty of guides and resources to assist users in getting started. This ease of implementation ensures that you can start managing your social media accounts without unnecessary delays. As a daily user, HootSuite has become an indispensable tool for managing multiple social media platforms. Its scheduling features and analytics tools are particularly useful for maintaining a consistent online presence and measuring the effectiveness of your social media strategies. One notable downside is HootSuite's handling of holidays. The platform seems to ignore Christian and federal holidays while including numerous lesser-known national days throughout the year. This can be frustrating for users who rely on the platform to acknowledge significant holidays, making the content calendar feel less relevant and useful during these times. I believe it would be best if you had an option, like the iPhone, to select or add holiday preference to help better get and remember certain days. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The calendar is easy to use and even drafts written by other team members can be viewed and modified/scheduled by others. Connecting to your brand's social channels couldn't be easier, however, it does get disconnected every now and then. I've used it on a daily basis since 2018 (with a small break when I switched jobs temporarily and my role didn't include social) so I guess I'm a happy long-term customer. The analytics function isn't great, posted but deleted content is still counted in the tracker and social listening comes with an additional cost not everyone can afford. The basic package prices have also increased significantly over the years but I guess it's not too surprising. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I love the ease of scheduling posts and finding data in reports that would otherwise take me forever on individual channels. The reporting is more reliable than Meta and X which changes too often and without reason. The few times I have talked to anyone on the Hootsuite team, they've been incredibly helpful and easy to work with. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The interface can be improved. I use tagging for reporting and there's no easy way to add a tag after it's published in Hootsuite or natively. That makes it so I can miss data when reporting. I'd love to compare tags and do A/B testing to see which topic performs better. When I export reporting, it's not turnkey to be able to share it with others on my team. Hootsuite is such an easy system to navigate and use! It was really easy to set up from an admin perspective and they have a lot of helpful resources, including videos. We have a wonderful CSM, and they have been helpful and patient with us as this is a newer system for our team. Since we are doing more media-focused activities, we plan to use the system almost daily with multiple social media channels. The enterprise plan has all of the features we need and more! We plan to get a few of our other tech platforms integrated, but I trust it will be a fairly easy process given our experience thus far. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
So far, nothing as it relates to the system's features. It is a little on the pricier side but it suits our needs at this time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
