207 Hack The Box Reviews
Hack The Box represents one of the most comprehensive and educational platforms in the area of offensive cybersecurity. The site's (that is Ease of Use) well-organized and constantly updated structure allows users to try their hand at stimulating, realistic challenges of increasing difficulty, always keeping involvement and motivation high.
One of the most appreciable distinguishing elements is the ranking system: a well-structured ranking that allows for transparent and constructive comparison with colleagues, enthusiasts and professionals in the field. This aspect not only stimulates continuous improvement, but also creates healthy competitiveness, encouraging active learning and overcoming one's limits.
The proposed machines are made with extreme care and attention to detail. Each one allows you to practice modern techniques, simulated in controlled but realistic environments, and allows you to explore new attack vectors, thus developing a critical and analytical mindset. It is this “outside-the-box” thinking that makes the difference for those working in ethical hacking.
An additional strength is the training modules. The lessons are well structured, with detailed explanations and practical insights that accompany the user step by step. This instructional approach fosters a deep understanding of concepts while stimulating autonomy, making learning effective and lasting.
A special note of merit goes to customer support, which is always ready to intervene promptly, professionally and competently. User support is timely and decisive, a sign of a platform that truly takes into account the needs of its community.
HackThebox also has an ease of integration for all new users coming in from the more to the less experienced, proposing ad hoc paths for each user, this also is the strength of HackTheBox. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I did not find many critical points to HackTheBox's platform. So far the user experience has been excellent. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Access to hands on labs, as well as the pwnbox. They provide you with every tool necessary to learn about penetration testing and cybersecurity in a safe controlled environment. I could see learning in a non-controlled environment being difficult or even illegal so this is a great service, as it makes it easy for beginners. It is easy to use on any modern web browser, and I could see the labs being implemented in classrooms across the globe. I use it almost every day to keep up with my classes. Some of the challenges are a bit harder than others, mostly in the skills assessments, but it is manageable with some outside resources as well as review of the material. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I've been using HackTheBox since before a Discord server was available; we were using only the HTB forum to communicate and help each other. This experience led me to meet many great, like-minded individuals whom I call friends today. It was the platform that made me invest time and effort into understanding and learning the concepts of penetration testing and cybersecurity from an offensive perspective. Ultimately, it provided me with the foundational knowledge to achieve certifications and establish my foothold in the professional field without a university degree. HackTheBox will always hold a special place in my heart. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I don't have a specific aspect of HTB that I dislike; I just want to suggest that they continue providing high-quality services, as their impact on the cybersecurity field is significant. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I found that HTB is a great platform for cybersecurity professionals of all skill levels. The course paths are designed to help you achieve different technical goals in the realm of cybersecurity and the labs essentially mimic real world scenarios that you would otherwise find in an ethical hacking position. The course content on HTB is easy to use and thorough enough to allow you to progress while encouraging outside engagement through means such as googling answers and searching through different forums and repos for potential ideas to help think outside the box. One of the most enjoyable aspects of HTB is that emphasis on discovery while also keeping you grounded in the lessons. There are a variety of different difficulty levels that allow the platform to cater to an audience of diverse technical levels. The support staff is relatively responsive as well which is always a plus. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
While Hack The Box is a great platform for cybersecurity learning, I have found certain assessments and questions to be somewhat vague or ambiguously worded. This occasionally causes me confusion and requires me to dedicate extra time to interpret the intent of the challenge, rather than focusing on solving it.
Despite these minor issues, HTB still remains one of the main tools in my arsenal for ethical hacking education. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I finished CBBH, and now I am preparing for the Pentester exam so i use htb quite a lot. What I like about Enterprise Hack The Box are:
- Excellent technical information
- Very good practice machines
- Clear job paths
- Clear UI Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
All of these are minor issues compering to whole platform.
- Some of the virtual machines have bugs.
- A couple of tasks in subtopics are very difficult compared to other parts of the course.
- For modules and paths, the UI in Academy is better than in Enterprise.
- Some tasks need a slight redesign—for example, the brute-forcing task, where most of the time is spent looking for the proper wordlist. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Hack the Box is an excellent platform for learning and honing cybersecurity and penetration testing skills. It's a highly useful and accessible resource for individuals at all levels, from beginners to advanced cybersecurity professionals and enthusiasts.
The availability and reliability of the labs make it a robust platform, allowing users to learn anytime, anywhere. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It would be fantastic if Hack the Box could incorporate learning materials for mobile app penetration testing, API penetration testing, and other domains like IoT and industrial pen-testing. This would broaden the scope of skills available and cater to a wider range of cybersecurity interests. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like the practical labs. They are easy to follow, highly varied, and provide just enough guidance to set me on the right path while still allowing me to utilise my own reseach capabilities to complete them independently. The PWNbox is implemented effectively, and facilitates a no-hassle medium for completing the labs. I have used these labs frequently without issue. I have yet to encounter any problems or hindrances that required me to contact customer support. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The modules in HTB academy are often information-heavy in one medium, and it is often long-form text. This can get tedious and difficult to absorb. Breaking this up with other mediums, such as more pictorial, video, puzzles, and short-form practical content, could help mitigate potential burnout. Additionally, it can be difficult to integrate HTB labs with real-life, ongoing work, as HTB labs exist as standalones. Being able to use our own tooling, or apply our own environmental adjustments, could be highly useful for making better use of HTB in the field. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Hack The Box provides a selection of interactive courses that are intended to provide students real-world experience. There is something for everyone, regardless of skill level.
Penetration testing, network security, web application security, Active Directory, and many more subjects are covered in the courses.
Its highly challenging and distinctive labs helped me get ready for the OSCP.
HTB gamifies the learning process by providing an immersive environment.
The competitive aspect motivates participants to push their limits.
It is incredibly user-friendly, and I would suggest it to everyone. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The only thing about HTB that concerns me is that occasionally the openvpn connection used to access the labs isn't very reliable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Hack The Box make me scale fast on technologies that i would have to POC on my labs. With Hack The Box the labs are already made. And they are up to date. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Some box can be hard. The rating on some box need to be ajusted. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Hack The Box does not hold your hand! There may be times where you feel a bit lost, and aren't sure how to proceed. It can be frustrating at first, but all the more rewarding when you finally figure out the solution, which you're sure to never forget. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
