Excalidraw is a remarkably easy, user-friendly tool that functions as a whiteboard with Photoshop capabilities. The program is browser-based but functions like software – keyboard shortcuts actually work, you can export images, and you can load in files from your desktop. There are multiple tools like this, which allow you to collaborate remotely on a "whiteboard" in real time, but Excalidraw has the most effective and wide-ranging set of tools within the program. The amount of tool options can be a bit overwhelming when using the program collaboratively. It's not as simply as "posting a sticky" with words on it; if you insert an object or text, you likely want to play with color, opacity, font, etc. This means that Excalidraw is best suited for creative collaboration, versus business meetings or brainstorming sessions. Real Time Collaboration is one of the best feature of the excalidraw.

Another great features of excalidraw is intutive interatction and ui. and the export options are almost all.

It is helpful in teahcing juniors about coding etc

The minimalistic design and straight away we can create the flow chart or wireframes without any formal setups.

I use Excalidraw+ for UI wireframing and mockups for a FinTech startup. I used to do these on paper, because it's the easiest way for me to 'think and draw' at the same time. However, once I discovered Excalidraw I found it just "gets out of the way" and allows me to focus on thinking and designing, without being distracted by anything else. They are clearly laser focused on simplicity (I've seen feature requests that are (rightly) knocked back by the team, because of this focus on simplicity and speed of use). Give the free version a spin, you'll probably find it invaluable and then it's a great value for money upgrade to get the cloud-hosted version. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

There's nothing I really dislike. There are definitely some features I could think "Oh, it would be helpful if it had X, Y, or Z" but to be honest, I wouldn't want it to become more complex. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

not sure if this is a premium option, but in the basic one there are only three font options which I would've liked to see more of Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It is completely collaborative, so my clients and I have the same capabilities to draw, write, edit text boxes (which other whiteboards won't allow), and to add links. I can either export the whiteboard as a png or I can export the file and upload it again later so we can pick up from one class where we left off from the previous class. It's brilliant.
