- How easily accessible it is. You don't need a desktop application. Just a browser, and you're ready to go.
- It's minimalistic and has everything you'll possible need. I missed the "Library" option on the top right corner during my initial days, but once you spot it you're fine.
- You get the "copy to clipboard" when you extract your file which I love! Because I hate opening the File Explorer, this feature really comes handy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Sometimes when you paste multiple images and try to sort of make a collage, the individual resolutions of the images drops heavily and leaves them unusable.
Also, there's a limit to the size of a file you can upload. Not great. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

When you make collaborations on the whiteboard in current time, you do not see the current changes instantly, you have to let it load for a while without anyone using it so that the annotations of others can be validated. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

While Excalidraw boasts many positive features, one drawback that I've noticed is its limited set of advanced design tools.
For users seeking highly specialized features or intricate design options, Excalidraw may not be the most comprehensive solution. The tool prioritizes simplicity, which is excellent for quick and collaborative sketches, but it may fall short for those with more demanding graphic design needs. What I like most about Excalidraw is its minimal interface and simple design. Picking up and getting simple to moderate level illustrations is quite easy. The learning curve is smooth and it packs all the essential features that one would need to create wow-worthy sketches.
Ever since I found out about it, I have incorporated it heavily in my workflow, in my blogposts, in my tweets, Pinterest posts and whatnot.
The best thing however is that about 90% of its functionality is free. There's nothing to download, not even that annoying signup prompt.
Creating illustrations is quite easy and with the latest features such as snapping, grid, Mermaid.js support, I don't think I'd need any other tool in near future. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
While its good that they have made some sensible defaults to keep things minimal, but I don't like the default hand-writing font. As soon as I found it, I have searched online for ways to change it.
Also, it would have been better if they allow external images and SVGs to be edited natively in Excalidraw.
Also, a feature request: I'd like very much if they released a dedicated Excalidraw app with support for Apple Pencil. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The ease of creating sketches has made my work simpler, it is a very complete tool with all its features gathered in the same platform that allows me to share my work more quickly with my colleagues, I started using the free version and seeing such wonderful work I started the payment mode which has more professional features and makes each creation even easier Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Excalidraw is sensational, however the support is not very complete in its response times, it takes time to be answered, it is the only thing I have noticed that they have flaws Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We use Excalidraw to prepare technology architecture diagrams quickly and easily, and Excalidraw's approachable hand drawn diagram style gives exactly the right impression that these diagrams are quick but accurate depictions of technology solution details. The tool is easy to use and easy to implement because you can just start using it in your web browser. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We also use Visio for drawing technology architecture diagrams, and unfortunately there is no round tripping or integration between Excalidraw and Visio currently. I would love to be able to import existing Visio diagrams into Excalidraw, but also export from Excalidraw in Visio format too. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
