The interface is simple and easy to navigate for both employees and admins. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Your compnay set up needs to be fairly cookie cutter to get the most efficiencies out of BHR. They do not offer much in the form of customization. We have ran into this issue the most with benefits administration and connect reports that need to be sent to our payroll partners. The support BHR offers is AWESOME for quick questions that the BHR support team likely get daily. However'; if you uncover an issue within the system that requires developer time or further review service is slow, it sometimes feels like they try to hide the reason for the issue, and they do not want to take time to meet to discuss issues. It is very rare that you get to talk to someone from BHR face to face or over the phone. There also seems to be no "manager" escalation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The customer service team is exceptional. I love that I can quickly get an actual human when needed and all are very knowledgeable of the product. I also appreciate the HR community and webinars that couple with the platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The only aspect of BambooHR that we've had some troubles with is the benefits administration tool. We currently use Ease and transfer our information into BambooHR for payroll processing. I haven't been convinced the improvements made in this area are better than Ease and I've heard the carrier connection functionality is very limited. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
My favorite thing about BambooHR is that is does everything! We have recruiting, HRIS, benefits, training, certification, onboarding, and offboarding all in one place. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The downside of BambooHR is only being able to put 5 people on a workflow - we find that we need more sometimes. I also do not like employees being on every workflow. i.e. offboarding - employees have to sign the separation task form. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like the simplicity for end users and ease of set up for administrators most. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The lack of customization for forms and hierarchies are sometimes frustrating. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Easy navigation, and solid set up. The layout is awesome, and personnel files are organized. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Timekeeping could be so much better, it took myself hours to correct and is usually the responsibility of the employee. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

BambooHR has been a great help for the HR department, now we can have all the information in one place and it's very easy to find and make reports out of it. We are still new to the platform (as a business, since us, HR, have worked with it before). And it's really making the difference in terms of organization and accesibility. BambooHR it's really easy to use, and we really appreciate the Customer Support team, they are always responsive and always helpful, we have been tranfering all of our data from our records to the system and now it's our every day HR system. Overall, BambooHR is amazing, even though I believe there is a lot of room for new feautures, more customizable filters, reports, etc. However, I am aware that BambooHR it's always improving and letting the users give feedback, so there is always that possibility that in the future they will add more features that will make the experience even better. Bamboo HR was a great tool used to fix our very unorganized HR dept. We got great training in the beginning of implementation, and it is fairly simple to operate. It has many automated functions that allow us to make smooth onboarding and offboardings. We have 100 employees and it works very well for us. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There are some other operational softwares that we have that do not integrate with Bamboo HR. Would love to see more integrations! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

there are no payroll reports that are useful.I have no option to create my own report with the information I need.I don’t need turnover rate, I don’t need to see all terms , I don’t need a state/federal report. these are so unessesary! Each time I call for an Employee earnings report the only option is to go in TRAX payroll and print all paystubs. This is not acceptable for the agencies requesting employee files & payroll reports. I would then need to manually create an excel and enter all their history. Again, this too is super frustrating for me. BBHR doest really understand whats really needed for payroll processing.
PTO approved after payroll has been "Open" is another inconvenience because if I approve those hours by the Notification I received it will WIPE OUT ALL PAYROLL ALREADY ENTERED!!! so again that feateure is useless and very frustrating to deal with with running payroll.
PTO hours are not correctly reflected on paystubs.
Pay stubs are 3 PAGES LONG!!! This is also useless and we are using so much more paper than before, please compress your paystubs to 1 page.
Support is a joke! each person just wants to get you off the phone and follow up in an email which never gets resloved on the first email so then your ping ponging back and forth trying to get your original issue resloved. we need to speak with someone and resolved the issue while on the phone to help the Rep. to BETTER UNDERSTAND WHAT IT IS WE NEED.
theres plenty more things in BBHR we are not satisfied with but stuck with it for now. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
