What do you like best about Google Cloud?

What i really like about google cloud is how well it integrates with other google services, If you're already in google ecosystem for example using gmail, google workspace or bigquery. I used google cloud services daily and everything feels just seamless. The UI is clean and i expecially enjoy the speed and reliability of services like compute engine and cloud storage. Pricing is also very competetive. Even non technical person can use most of the services by google cloud, and for developer its very easy to integrate with. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Google Cloud?

So the only thing i dislike about google cloud is its invoicing and the billing dashboard its very overwhelming. There are times when i could not identify the charges as the services for being i am charged is not clearly mentioned. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Google Cloud BigQuery?

Honestly, what I love most about BigQuery is how easy it makes working with huge amounts of data. It's part my of may daily work. You know, like, really huge. It's like having this super-powerful engine that you don't have to worry about maintaining. You just throw your data in, and it just... works.

I think the biggest thing is that I don't have to deal with servers. No more worrying about setting things up, scaling, or any of that. It's just there, ready to go. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Google Cloud BigQuery?

The biggest thing that can get you is the cost. If you're not careful, those queries, especially the complex ones on huge datasets, can really add up. You've got to be smart about optimising them, or you'll get a surprise bill. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Google Cloud BigQuery solving and how is that benefiting you?

BigQuery lets me access and analyze huge datasets quickly and efficiently, which is a massive time-saver and lets me make better informed decisions Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Google Cloud BigQuery?

BigQuery makes it really easy to run heavy queries on huge datasets without slowing down. The speed and performance are excellent, and we don’t need to worry about managing any servers. It also works smoothly with other Google Cloud services like Data Studio, which helped us set up dashboards quickly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Google Cloud BigQuery?

The main issue is the pricing. If you don’t know how to write optimized queries, the costs can go up fast without warning. We had to spend time learning how to use it efficiently. Also, the billing dashboard could be more user-friendly for non-technical people. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Google Cloud BigQuery solving and how is that benefiting you?

We were facing delays in generating reports and analyzing large datasets with our old setup. After moving to BigQuery, we are able to run complex queries in seconds, even on millions of rows. This has saved a lot of time for our analytics team and helped us make faster business decisions. It also reduced the load on our internal systems since BigQuery handles everything in the cloud. What do you like best about Google Cloud?

Google Cloud offers a wide range of solutions for technology development and deployment, including Computing, Networking, data Storage and management, AI and machine learning, all in one integrated platform. GCP has user-friendly learning tutorials and reliable community support, which makes it easy to solve whatever challenges might come up. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Google Cloud?

The user interface can appear complex to newcomers, as it lacks customization options for the left navigation menu. The inability to remove services not used by users can make the interface unnecessarily crowded. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Google Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?

Google Cloud helps enhance our business intelligence solutions development capabilities. We use BigQuery's data warehousing service to explore, process, and analyze large datasets, uncovering patterns and insights. Google Dataflow allows us to handle growing data volumes for data preparation and pipeline automation. My team collaborates on Vertex AI to develop and integrate predictive models for forecasting and generative AI capabilities within our solutions. What do you like best about Google Cloud?

I have used multiple Google Cloud services, be it there Compute Engine, Firestore and the Kubernetes Engine. I really like how easy it is to spin up a machine and deploy your application and User Interface is quite simple and straightforward. I had also used other Cloud Platforms but what impressed me was the BigQuery and how it makes data analysis on massive data so fast and simple. I have used Firestore services like Storage and Realtime database for my app developments, and like how smoothly they integrate and interact. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Google Cloud?

I strongly believe that they should increase the time for the free tier, so that users get more time to look and try services and then lock them out. Some services also lack the level of regional availability compared to competitors like AWS. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Google Cloud solving and how is that benefiting you?

We develop apps and software for our clients and Google Cloud Services have rightly benefitted our projects in terms of storage, compute and API services. I had recently integrated the Geolocation API service into one of my apps in just one day. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Google Cloud BigQuery?

BigQuery has been a reliable tool for marketing data integration. It's serverless, so it's easy to scale and let's us focus on other things rather than maintenance overall.

It's fast, so big querys that requires a lot of data takes just a few seconds to get the data. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Google Cloud BigQuery?

While BigQuery is an awesome tool, there are a few things that can be a bit frustrating.

Costs can add up quickly if you’re not careful. You need to focus on optimization and spend time setting up tables propperly.

Another thing is that the learning curve requires time if you’re not familiar with SQL, getting started can feel overwhelming (a lot of traditional SQL techniques does not work on BigQuery, and some capabilities in BigQuery are not industry standards) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Google Cloud BigQuery solving and how is that benefiting you?

BigQuery is solving some problems we face in digital marketing like data integration and specially data analysis.

One of the biggest problems it solves is handling big files or rows of data from various sources like Google Analytics, Google Ads, CRM platforms, etc. We usually dealt with google sheets files for some marketing dashboards in the past, even traditional SQL tables, and the performance wasn't great and the dashboards wheren't stable.

BigQuery fixed that.

Another key benefit is centralized data storage and analysis. Before BigQuery, data was scattered across multiple platforms (even excel files), making it hard to get a complete picture. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Google Cloud BigQuery?

The way Google Cloud Big Query has evolved from it's inception is really comendable. So there are very less dislikes at the moment.

SQL Support could be further enhanced and integrations with different platforms via APIs can be added Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Google Cloud BigQuery solving and how is that benefiting you?

It is by far the easiest Data Warehouse available in the market. the Big Data Analytics in Big Query is pretty easy and someone who is a beginer can easily pick this up. For me it is helping to store the Ecommerce Data into the Data Warehouse and then perform various analysis on that data and present it to business for further actions. Using this on a daily basis for a few years now, I can say this is by far the best cloud based data warehouse among others like Redhsift, Azure .

What do you like best about Google Cloud BigQuery?

Quick onboarding for begginer with clear UI and comprehensive documentation and supports ad-hoc quering and scheduled batch jobs and native interactions with google ecosystem products make workflows seamless as ease of implementation having robust customer support. For Data analysis helpful for daily use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Google Cloud BigQuery?

Misunderstanding of how queries are billed can lead to unexpected costs and requires careful optimization and awareness of best practices and while basic quering is simple, features like partitioning, clustering, and BigQuery ML reequire some learning and users heavily reliant on UI might find some limitations compared to standalone SQL clientsof third-party tools. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Google Cloud BigQuery solving and how is that benefiting you?

To solve a sales performance in real time as for data ingestion in stream transaction data from POS systems to BigQuery using Pub/Sub and for data transformation we use dataflow to clean and normalize incoming data and mainly for analysis to run SQL queries in BigQuery to calculate metrics like revenue, top selling products, and sales trendas and finally to create a dashboard in Google Data Studio to show real time KPIs.
