Honestly the intergration between Solidworks and SolidCAM cannot be brushed to the side. The capability of swapping and editing your model on the fly is almost essential. Along with how building tools and importanting them is the easiest it has ever been can only benefit users. We have local reps that answer our questions so the customer support is on par with the rest of the softwares. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
There are times where the software can have some glitches and crash. The main issue I have with SolidCAM is the uncertainty of how stable it is. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Integration with CAD systems, providing a unified environment for designing and manufacturing processes. It supports 2.5 D to 5 Axis milling, turning and mill-turn, simultaneous machining and high-speed machining (HSM). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It may take some time for someone to be proficient with the complex UI of the software.Lack of multi-platform support means it supports Windows but not other OS like Mac or Linux. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Fantastic software for machining. And also able to get details and support from Solidworks.
Tight integration to CAD software's design to the production life cycle and fast and complex 4-5 axis projects can be easily handled. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Nothing more to tell in terms of dislike. One thing I want to say to it is crashing files while you are working on large files. And also work slowly on middle-configuration PC. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It provides automated feature recognization, which detects and extracts the machining feature from CAD models. It provides an HSM feature that maximizes the machine rate and reduces the time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
As a regular user, I don't have any point or feature in solid cam to dislike. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Nice tool for our HAAS 5 axis and 3 axis milling machine. Realli appreciate to program trajectories on tool steel. It really reduce machine maintenance costs as well Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Only price. I would like to get yearly update packet free of charge. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

This program gives me everything i want. The best i like is working in "part", and direct editing whatever i want to make a good route for program. Sometimes i copy the original part in CAD, the make some changes, and the work on the changed version. Also i use this for fixtures and etc. SolidCAM gives me everything i need to be a good CNC programmer. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I dislike autosave wich is not possible to turn off. After 2017 SolidCAM version, there is a problem wich 2D and 3D iMachining, Side step menu isn't working. I saw this in 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2021 versions. So i steel use 2017 SP3 version. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

As an Electronics engineer, i found Solid works and Solidcam to be the most easy interfacing tool that enables anyone to create any sophisticated mechanical designs, also the best CNC tool path i came across. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The lack of Arabic language support (Right to left script) brings some difficulties, which makes me to map my designs through different apps through multi-stages of conversion. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The best about this software is very convenient to use unlike the other cam softwares I tried to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
