176 Simcenter 3D Reviews
What I like best about Simcenter 3D is how tightly it integrates simulation with CAD, especially NX. You can update geometry and rerun simulations without starting from scratch, which saves a lot of time. The range of physics it supports — structural, thermal, flow, motion — all in one environment, is another major advantage. Plus, the ability to automate repetitive tasks and customize workflows makes it really powerful for complex projects. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What I dislike about Simcenter 3D is the steep learning curve and the sometimes clunky interface. New users can get lost quickly because the software isn’t very intuitive, and the documentation doesn’t always fill the gaps. Some workflows feel unnecessarily complicated, and setting up certain types of simulations can take longer than it should. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Fairly easy to use and learn. Give the designer more tools to optimize the designs before the simulation team gets it Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
It would be nice if there was a simpler way to connect models together to simulate welds. As soon as it is a multiple part assembly that is welded together or bolted you have to switch over to the regular FEA software Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Simulation performance, ability to quickly iterate modeling simulation cycles, relative ease of use Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
the license management system. GRRRRR Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Good integration with NX, updates to geometry propagate to mesh, boundary conditions, etc. Meshing is good. Selection Recipies are very useful. Can be highly automated. Good post processing tools Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Ansys integration is not complete. Could use automated BC setup similar to automated Selection Recipes from face names. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Integration with Teamcenter to manage the data structures. Never leave the NX platform. A more rapid start to the Teamcenter Simulation Process Management paradigm. Understanding the products that Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
My users believe FEMAP is easier to use and more powerful for some workflows
It was fairly difficult to exit Ideas. Many didn't understand the Simcenter 3D rebrand and how it's still really the NX platform.
Licensing and royalties in Simcenter are difficult to remix products under license agreements. Make everything tokens with some surge capability. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Surface module very nice.
All command using very easy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
This software similar to nx . approx all command simler . Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Roles. The fact you can navigate smootly across multiple devices (Tablet,Phone) is one of the best thing i've experience yet in Simcenter.
It has also very logical interface when you're adapted with Siemens Product aswell Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Very minor critics it's a general software for 3D it have a lot of features without getting deep in the tools.it actually does exactly what we ask of it Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Realtime visualisation and quality of results. Users are happy about using this. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
None at this time , as I'm not the end user of this product Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
